main areas of

expertise

Although I also have extensive experience in translating business texts, such as press releases, websites, internal company communications and HR-related documents, in recent years I have mainly specialized in translating (bio)medical and pharmaceutical documents.

Below you will find an overview of the services I offer:

  • Translation and proofreading of (bio)medical and pharmaceutical texts, such as package inserts, laboratory manuals, summaries of product characteristics, research protocols, informed consent or assent forms for clinical trial participants, medical reports, surveys targeted at healthcare professionals or patients, patient diaries for use in clinical trials, patient brochures about specific conditions, medications or clinical trials ...

  • Subtitling documentaries or informational videos about certain conditions or medications as well as subtitling instructional videos for patients participating in clinical trials. These videos explain, step by step, how patients can inject themselves with a research drug, for example.

  • Linguistic validation of clinical questionnaires, including forward translation, back translation, reconciliation, linguistic sign-off (LSO) and cognitive debriefing.

  • Writing patient-oriented texts about medical conditions, for example in the form of a brochure or flyer.

other areas of

expertise and interest

In addition to texts on Western medicine, I also regularly translate texts on aspects of Eastern medicine and on topics that promote general physical and mental well-being, such as yoga, meditation, and plant-based nutrition. I also consider climate issues and animal welfare to be particularly important, and I am happy to support projects that raise awareness of these themes.
